The MD-17™ is an affordable, single-operator productivity boosting machine built for accurate measuring. It can operate as either a standalone unit or can be interfaced with the proven ABLE™ bindery automation software to supply all pertinent data for binding the book block.

The operator places a book block or several periodicals and squares the work at the right-angled left corner of the height and width sensing area followed by the lowering of the bulk sensing arm onto the work. A key stroke on the PC keyboard triggers in seconds the measuring cycle for the ABLE™ software to store, display and print data relevant to the binding of the book block.
